My Kind of Weather

Today was a beautiful day!

It was (a perfect) 90 degrees outside (not hot/not cold), some cloud coverage with a slight breeze.

It was my kind of weather.

I enjoyed watching and snapping pictures of this crow bathe himself (for about 5 minutes straight) in a small puddle at the park.

And it made me feel happy!

I Love Jasmine Rice

And I can't stop wanting it for dinner every night (I've already made it 4 times in the past week).

Uh Oh! I'm totally reminding myself of Grandpa Jack... He used to eat rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with his fish, garlic, onions, liver, and other smelly foods.

I'm not a fan of liver, but I love fish, garlic, and onions (although I don't eat them daily)! Tate has the same taste buds (or taste bugs as he calls them) as me. Bryan prefers hamburgers and steak, but he eats whatever I cook for him including Jasmine Rice.

The Phone Call

I received a phone call from Tate's Kindergarten teacher yesterday afternoon. She started out by saying, "I just wanted to tell you"...

At that moment I became
instantly nervous and I thought to myself, "Oh no, what did he do wrong?"

But then came the words that every Mother wants to hear, "Tate is doing a really great job in class. He is progressing well and doing good learning his phonograms".

Then I waited for a but... and it didn't come and I was glad!

Good Job Mr. Tate!!!

I'm SO Happy!!!

Because... I survived Halloween and am still on my NO SUGAR diet (It's been 3 months now)! Let me tell you though, it hasn't been easy. I had to eat A LOT (and I'm not going to tell you how much) of sugar free carob cake to satisfy my craving. But I don't really care because I'm still off of sugar and 3 months is practically unheard of for a sugar addict like me!

Seriously though, I really can tell a HUGE difference in the way that my body feels being off of sugar (and that is my REAL motivation). My migraines are fewer, and I feel calmer and happier.
