My two boys looking so cute hanging out on the couch together... Bryan reading the Ensign and Tate writing in his journal.

Singing at the Rest Home & Other Happenings

Yesterday was a BIG busy day!!! It was our annual "singing at the rest home-performance" with my family. Our little family (Bryan, Tate, and I) performed three songs... Jolly Old St. Nicholas (with Tate and Me at the piano/Tate singing), Silent Night (in sign language), and Must Be Santa (Tate dressed up as Santa). After the performance, we went to my parents house for pizza and to make graham cracker gingerbread houses (we hot glued them together to make the houses stronger). Who eats the graham crackers anyways? We also got a really quick picture of some of the Grandkids in the nativity.

Ward Christmas Party

Santa came to our Ward Christmas Party tonight and told the children the story of Jesus (which was really him narrating the nativity while the youth in our ward acted it out and the audience sang songs). It was so awesome!!!

Tate's Pictures

Yesterday, Tate had a plan...

He explained it to me this way, "Mom, I have it ALL figured out of how to make money for Grandma Margaret's medicine (she has cancer and a large amount of her pills are NOT covered by insurance)... I'm going to color pictures from my coloring book and sell them for money!"

He then worked for MANY MANY MANY MANY hours doing just that-Coloring Pictures. After which time he came to me and asked the question, "But Mom, do you think that anybody who's not YOU would want to buy my pictures?"

I reassured him by answering, "Of course Tate". What else was I supposed to say?

Late last night, Tate sold his first picture... For five dollars... To Grandma Bloomfield!!! He was ECSTATIC (to say the least). He even fell asleep on the couch HOLDING that five dollar bill.

Tate is DETERMINED to help make money for Grandma Margaret's medicine! So I figured that I'd help the kid out a little by doing some advertising for him via the blog...

Would you like to BUY a picture from Tate?!? Just donate ANY amount of money (at least enough to cover the stamp) and he'll mail a picture back to you!

Ski Angel

Every SINGLE year since 2001 (when we got married) Bryan has placed candy canes (like ski's) underneath the angel on our Christmas Tree. I used to try to secretly remove them (at least before company would come over), but they would ALWAYS magically reappear. This year I've finally accepted the Ski Angel Tradition!

Thank-YOU So Much!

I want to thank each one of you who helped out with our Golf Fundraiser to help raise money for my Mother's cancer medication!!!

Thank you to those who golfed, thank you to those who pledged/donated money, and thank you to all others who have kept my Mother in your prayers. I want you to know that your contribution is VERY MUCH appreciated!

We have not yet received word (from Positive Impact) on how much money we were able to raise or even who donated money... So sorry if you donated and we haven't personally thanked you, it's because we don't know yet:)

Thanks again,
Love, Maria

Antiquities Picture

We had this FREE picture taken of Tate a couple of weeks ago, and I just picked it up today.
