Yep, That's Me!

These quizzes were really fun! I figured I was a little introverted (it's not such a bad thing like I always thought), I already knew I wasn't very observant (unlike Bryan and Tate), General American English-sounds right, I'm VERY surprised that I passed 8th grade math (I'm not a math person), the left and right brain thing was a little interesting, and I didn't know half of the stuff that happened in 1981!

Have fun with the quizzes!!!

Hokey Pokey

The other day (I mean Father's Day), it seriously seems like the other day, we were driving our nice 25 minute drive into town to visit my Dad. Tate was holding the beef stick that he was going to give to him (my Dad loves those nasty things). Anyways, I was sitting in the passengers seat in front of Tate. He stuck the beef stick through the hole below the head rest, poking me with it and singing, "You do the HOKEY POKEY".

Tate's such a goof ball! He really makes EVERYTHING fun!

Garden Grapes

Yeah, we are finally harvesting grapes! I seriously doubted whether we would be able to grow these here, but it worked and they are DELICIOUS!!!

My Smart Kid!

The other day I taught Tate about the reasoning behind not smoking. I told him that besides it being a commandment, it makes your lungs black. A few days after that, I decided to quiz him to see if he remembered what I told him. He DID remember that it makes your lungs black! Then, I decided to ask him why we don't drink coffee (even though I'd never really explained why). He thought for a minute and answered, "It makes your tongue black".

Sad News :(

I've been holding off on writing about this until I knew for sure... but, it looks like there's going to be NO BABY after all. I went in to see my doctor last Monday, he did an ultrasound and couldn't find a heart beat. But, he didn't know for sure because at that time my HCG level was still rising. Anyways, it's finally official! I figured since everyone knew I was expecting I had better give a little explanation. So, there you go... It's really no fun writing about sad stuff, but I couldn't really make this one sound very good no matter how hard I tried!

We're Back!!!

We just got back from a week long vacation to Newport Coast, California. We stayed with my brother Aaron and his wife Andrea in a beautiful Marriott resort very close to the beach. We brought the kids with us, and everyone had lots of fun!
On Sunday, we went to church and walked around the Newport Beach Temple which happened to be right next to the church we attended. Monday morning we sat through a time share presentation and were given 2 free Disneyland tickets just for attending the presentation even though we didn't purchase anything-so that was great! Monday night Aaron and Bryan took the kids swimming at the pool while the girls (Me, Andrea, and Dana-Andrea's sister) hung out! Tuesday we of course went to use those free tickets at Disneyland. Bryan and I got our satisfaction by watching the expressions on Tate's face. He was absolutely terrified of "Pirates and the Carribean". His favorite was "Autopia" where he got to drive his very first car! Bryan pushed the pedal and Tate steered. Tate wouldn't let Bryan touch the stirring wheel for anything. So, from what I hear, their ride was pretty much back and forth from side to side (if you know what I mean). Tate enjoyed most of the other rides we went on including the "Haunted Mansion". He did get scared on the "Snow White" ride. Tate put his cracker bag over his face when the wicked witch turned into the old hag lady. It was really cute!
We went to the beach Wednesday morning and even though the water was very cold, we all got in! Tate LOVED the waves and stayed close to Daddy the entire time. We attempted to build a sandcastle-but didn't get very far before the water started coming.

Wednesday afternoon we visited Balboa Island! We enjoyed riding the ferry and eating chocolate covered frozen bananas-YUM!
Wednesday night was the highlight of the trip for me as we went to see the musical "Wicked!" It was totally awesome and in my opinion it's a definite must see for everyone!!! The kids stayed at the hotel with Dana while we drove to LA to watch it. It was very fun and well worth the $.

Thursday was relaxing for me as Bryan took Tate to the "Aquarium of the Pacific". They enjoyed seeing all the different sea creatures, and I enjoyed a little break:)

Bryan and I watched one of our favorite movies of all time during Tate's nap on Thursday "Pride and Prejudice". So, that was fun! Then to top of the week... we went to a pupusaria for dinner and ate pupusas to our heart's content. I ate 3 of them!!! My favorite are the bean and cheese pupusas. So, that pretty much sums up our awesome vacation!

Now back to REAL LIFE!
