The other day I taught Tate about the reasoning behind not smoking. I told him that besides it being a commandment, it makes your lungs black. A few days after that, I decided to quiz him to see if he remembered what I told him. He DID remember that it makes your lungs black! Then, I decided to ask him why we don't drink coffee (even though I'd never really explained why). He thought for a minute and answered, "It makes your tongue black".
I love watching children "learn" and associate and come to conclusions. Each new stage is so fun. I especially love children's profound thoughts! :)
ReplyDeleteMarcela isn't able to communicate too well yet, but well enough that we get her drift. She's a professional at pointing her finger and jabbering and really it doesn't matter what words might come out of her mouth, the tone is everything.
