Happy Birthday Mr. Tate!

Tate's Birthday was on Sunday! I can hardly believe that he is a big 3 YEAR OLD now!!! We have a TRADITION to wrap the bedroom door of the person who is having a birthday and put little presents on it. So, Tate really liked that!

Tate got a little QUAD for his bithday of which he loves riding.

He likes to go the fastest possible and he doesn't watch where he's going, so he scares me every time... But, hopefully he'll learn soon!

We had a birthday party for him, and a million little kids came, it was VERY CRAZY, but lots of fun as well! We did swimming and a few games.

It took forever to get the pinata opened with the way the kids batted.

Finally we just had my older brother bat it open to get the candy out. Then Tate was HAPPY eating tootsy rolls to his hearts content!

It was a busy weekend to say the least, at least for me! We had a ward party Friday Night, Tate's birthday party Saturday Morning, I went to a Southern Living pary Saturday Afternoon, and then Bryan's family had a pary Saturday Night. So that was 4 parties in 24 hours!

Little Missionary

The other day Tate had a friend over to play who happened to not be LDS. They were in his bedroom, and I was listening by the door when Tate said, "I BELONG TO THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS!" He kept repeating it over and over...
Another time a few days after that, we were at the doctors office waiting when Tate bursted out the same phrase.
He's starting early at being a missionary!

Paint Progress

I started with the HALL, and this is the "brown paper bag" color that I decided to use. I REALLY LIKE IT A LOT! And, I think that I just might paint the LIVING ROOM the same color :)
It's lots of fun painting when I like the color so much!

Big Scare & Lesson Learned

Tate & I went to Home Depot the other day to pick up some paint. I literally had my back turned for about 5 seconds when I heard this terrible noise! I turned around and Tate had turned on a really LOUD machine. It was shooting out this packaging stuff very quickly, and Tate came running to me! I managed to find the POWER button to turn it off. Tate started bawling and needless to say, he wanted me to hold him the rest of the time. I think that he's slowly learning that you can't touch every button you see!

Yum Yum Give Me Some!!!

Onions and Limes are 2 of Tate's very favorite foods! He just eats them like they are the yummiest foods in the whole world. I promise, we REALLY DO have good food in the house... Tate just asks for these!

Fun With Grandpa!

This morning we woke up really early so that Tate could go with Grandpa Larry to Freestone Park before it got too hot! He was so excited to go "just with Grandpa" to feed the ducks! Tate helped pack his rollerskates and tee ball stuff to bring along... He even got to play on the playground. They seriously stayed for a couple hours! Grandpa also took Tate out for ice-cream afterwards! Tate had a lot of fun!!!

Paint Colors

So, I've decided to give our house a new PAINT MAKEOVER! These are the colors I'm leaning towards...

Philipsburg Blue (Living Room)

Hale Navy (Family Room-Accent)

Nantucket Fog (Family Room/Kitchen)

*The colors might not be exact because of different monitors

Tate on WHEELS!

I can hardly believe that Tate is old enough to ROLLERSKATE! He's growing up soooooo fast. He actually did very good on his first ride to the mailbox. On the way home, he told me that he was tired and that he wanted to lay down on the couch!
Yeah, I found something else to wear him out...

Question: What have I been up to?

Answer: Cleaning my kitchen floor! My wonderful son spilt apple juice, white out, crayon peels, and who knows what else on our tile all in one day... I seriously am always one step behind him, maybe some day I'll catch up.

Finally, something NEW!

I've been needing my hair done for a while now. I was happy to get an inch cut off, more layers, and BANGS!
