I'm working on making a cookbook with lots of pictures, and I'm so excited about it! Here is one of my favorite salad recipes...
Ingredients:
1/2 Head Green Cabbage
1/2 Head Red Cabbage
4 Long Green Onions, thinly sliced
4 Tbsp. Slivered Almonds
4 Tbsp. Sunflower Seeds
1 Pkg. Top Ramen Noodles (Smashed without Seasoning)
4 Shredded Chicken Breasts (optional)
Dressing:
½ C. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1 C. Vegetable Oil
¾ C. Seasoned Rice Vinegar
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together, except dressing. Add dressing shortly before serving.
That salad looks so good! And what exactly is seasoned rice vinegar? I've never heard of it before. I think its a good idea to have a cookbook w/ pictures so you know what you're making! By the way, we have been making your blender pancakes (but actually making waffles with it) the last 2 Sundays. We absolutely love that recipe! We add a little oatmeal and take out a little wheat, but it tastes basically the same. Thanks for the cookbook for my birthday!
ReplyDeleteAndrea,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that you can buy seasoned rice vinegar at most grocery stores. It's located by all of the other vinegars. It has a kind of tangy taste and is definetely the key ingredient in this recipe. Just make sure that it is "seasoned".
I'm so glad that you like the cook book. I think that it's so fun cooking and I like to share good recipes.
I am always looking for a new recipe! I enjoy cooking too and have been wanting to put together my own cookbook too! How are you doing yours?
ReplyDeleteHeather,
ReplyDeleteI'm going to use blurb.com
The book I made of "Tate's first year" went so smoothly, and the book itself turned out really nice, so I want to use blurb for the cookbook.
