Day 61-Celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday

You wouldn't know it by all of the stuff I make... but I really dislike decorating cakes and sugar cookies. I'm serious! It's probably because I don't think that I'm very good at it. I know we all tend to enjoy doing the things we are good at... Anyways, after several cute pleadings from Mr. Tate, he convinced me to make a cake for Dr. Seuss. I found a tutorial on making green eggs and ham. It's not perfect, but that's okay. I'm obviously not a cake decorator but that doesn't stop me from trying every now and again. Maybe one of these days I'll learn to love it.

  2. It looks pretty good to me! I just don't even try in the cake decorating area...I think that my mom has made and decorated most of the girls' birthday cakes.

  3. Maria, You always do the cutest things for Tate. My older girls were excited to go to school today because the cafeteria was having a lunch in honor of Dr. Seuss. I thought that meant I'd be off the hook and not have to make anything at home. Lazy, huh? I should do something fun with Ally, so she doesn't miss out - maybe, if I can motivate myself that is. Well, enjoy the day and that super cute boy of yours!

  4. You are so cute...and creative! I am sure Tate just loves that you try. He doesn't care a bit that the projects you do aren't "perfect" because he will realize (if he hasn't already) that he doesn't have to be perfect at everything either. Good Job!
