Tate Funnies
12/2010
Bryan was making cookies. Tate commented on how yummy they looked. To make him NOT want any, Bryan said, "Never trust a skinny cook". Tate then turned to me and said, "Mom, you're a MEDIUM cook!"
I guess I'll take that as a compliment!!! Ha/Ha.

Bryan was asking Tate what he wants for Christmas and said, "I guess you want a hippopotamus right?" Tate replied, "NO! I don't want a HIPPI-POTAMUS!"

Tate, in talking about the scriptures... "The bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Great Pearl".

This one happened a while ago, and I never wrote it down...
It was my 29th birthday and I said, "Wow, I'm getting so OLD". Tate immediately replied, "Don't say old, say ELDERLY!"

Sam's Favorite Things at One Month
-When we sing hymns at Scripture Study (He quiets down and listens intently)
-Laying across my chest (him on his tummy)
-When I gently rub his head/hair
-Taking baths (He especially loves when I rinse the water out)

Allergic
Tate was sitting at the kitchen table eating chips and salsa. A while later, he came into the kitchen where I was making dinner and said, "Mom, I think I'm allergic to these chips". I asked him why, and he said, "Because I CAN'T stop eating them!!!"
A few days ago, Tate was staring intently at baby Sam. After a while he looked up at me and asked "Has Sam grown a tongue yet?... Because he can't talk!"

Note to Mrs. Benson
Tate came home from school today with a "N" on his daily behavior sheet (meaning he needs improvement). Supposedly he was talking, not following directions, and not sitting correctly in his chair. He was NOT a happy camper-more frustrated with himself than anything I think...
So tonight he wrote this note to Mrs. Benson. In case you can't read his writing, it says "Mrs. Benson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got an N, so I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry. Forgive Tate please!

July Pics
Here's a close up of my Tater Tot. He is getting to be such a good reader. Here he is reading his very favorite book "Five in the Family".
Baby #2
This is a 3D ultrasound picture of Sam at 32 weeks! See the bumps on his forehead? That's hair... Supposedly he has a lot of it. And he already weighs 4 pounds 15 ounces. Yes, he is a chunk! But I guess that's to be expected with me having gestational diabetes. I'm just hoping that he isn't an 11 pounder!

Secret & Random Happenings!
I'm repenting and posting a "FEW" pictures on the blog tonight... ENJOY!
Yes, I am pregnant! We found out the end of February-BIG SHOCKER. It was totally unexpected and very very very exciting news for us (seeing as we had been trying for over 5 years)! And in case you're wondering, Tate is pretty much ecstatic!

Here HE is. Yes it's a boy! His name is Samuel Call (long story how we chose the name). My due date is November 5th (I think).
Just in case you've been dying to know what we've been up to this year...
Tate was in a BASKETBALL camp (at Mesa High School) earlier this summer. He LOVED every minute of it and now tells me that basketball is his very favorite sport.

Here's all the kids in his camp. He's on the far right. I know he looks grumpy, but that's only because he had to stop playing basketball to be in a picture:)
He also took two sessions of swimming lessons this last month.
We went to the zoo with Carrie and her kids.
Tate has a pet snake (a stuffed animal named Hissy). He told me one day that it was Hissy's birthday and that he wanted to have a party for him. So we made a cake...
Hissy blew out the candles...
And Tate helped him eat some cake! It was super cute.
Bryan's workers built us a beautiful garden wall in our backyard and Tate enjoyed helping-but only with goggles to keep the dirt out of his eyes.
This was Tate's last game of T-Ball. He was excited to get the trophy and to be done. T-Ball is probably one of his least favorite sports.
Krispy Kreme gives away a free donut for every "A" you get. Tate was happy to get 6 of them!
Bryan's brother Tyler got married to Karlie.
Here's Tate all dressed up cute!
With cousins Melanie and Savannah.
We got some caterpillars and watched them grow into butterflies. Tate really enjoyed it. He was only a little sad to let them go.
We went with my family to Goldfield Ghost town. I couldn't help to get a picture of Tate by the old cars.
Here's our fun President's Day craft:)
Tate gave shovels away to the kids in his class for Valentine's Day. He wrote "I dig you" on them.
My Grandma Manning passed away in February. It was a sad sad time. I miss her tremendously!
Here's a before and after shot of Tate. He lost two teeth in one day.
We went to Globe with Bryan in January, and it snowed! It is not every day when we get to play in snow.
Here's a family "SUNKISS POOLS" picture.
Tate and I got to go with my Mother to Texas in January for her doctor checkup. It was Tate's first time flying.
Here we are at the clinic with her doctors.
We spent an afternoon in Galveston at the beach.
A fun day at the park...
Juicing oranges.
Tate and Natalie (Bryan's sister) put on a puppet show for me one afternoon. I thought they were just too cute and couldn't resist getting a picture.
We went to Hole in the Rock as a family.
Just a cute picture.
Me and Tate playing in the rain:) We went for a long wet walk.
4th of July-in front of the flag. Tate's new favorite song is The Star Spangled Banner. He loves to sing it for anyone who will listen.
And last but not least... This is Critter (Tate's newest snake). He sure does LOVE his snakes!
