Wasting Time TOGETHER Isn't Really Wasting Time!

This is starting to become a ritual about twice a week or so at our house...

New Family Search

Have you all tried the new Family Search program? It's AWESOME!!! Here's what I like about it...

  • It's a very easy way of finding out what information the church already has on record about you and your ancestors and what work still needs to be done.

  • You and your relatives see the same information about individuals and families. You can easily work together to evaluate the information. You can add new information and make corrections in one place, and everyone can see them.

  • When an individual’s temple ordinances are done, that information is added to the same place. This eliminates the risk of temple ordinances being done more than once for an individual and his or her family.

  • This new family search program is extremely easy to navigate. I figured out the gist of it in about 3 minutes and I'm happy to say that I already found my first family name to bring to the temple. Yeah!!!

Click on the picture above to check it out.

Do you want a challenge? Once your registered, time yourself and see how fast you can get a family name ready for temple ordinances. Let me know how long it took you. (My time was approx. 30 min, and I thought that all of the work was done for the ancestors that we knew about.)

Gorgeous Rainy Day

Today was just... LOVELY!
Rainy days are my favorite. I think that Tate likes them a little too, something new and different. It doesn't rain very much here in Arizona, so when it does it's pretty exciting.

Talk about exciting, I just looked outside and saw some SNOW on the mountains. Doesn't it look BEAUTIFUL?

I LOVE the combination of cactus and snow!

The Most Common Meal in Our Household

I was thinking today about Cheese Crisps... We probably eat them 3-4 times a week on average (maybe more) and yet they still remain one of my favorite foods.
There's obviously different ways of making them.
Here's how I make mine:

Butter the bottom of corn tortilla, place cheese on top. When the cheese is mostly melted, flip over so cheese is touching griddle-like so...

Flip back over after about 45 sec. They should look like this.

Remove cheese crisps from griddle and top with

fiesta sauce (cut up tomatoes, white onions, cilantro), fresh lime, and salsa.

Roll it up, and enjoy!

I thought that everyone knew how to make cheese crisps until a friend came over one day and told me that she had never even had one before-EVER! I still can't believe it! Seriously, cheese crisps are a staple around here, we could happily live on them and nothing else if we had to.

What is your most common meal?

New Goal: A Walk a Day

I always feel better about myself as a Mom when I take Tate and Rascal for a walk every day. I can't say that I always do it, (sometimes it's totally not convenient) but my new goal is to make it a daily ritual.

Just a side note about Rascal... He's HUGE. I can't believe how fast puppies grow!

SUNKISS POOLS WEBSITE MAKEOVER

Well, I realized that our current SUNKISS POOLS website is hideous, and I'm actually ashamed of the fact that I made it. True it was my very first website to design, but still... Uggg!!!
So, I've taken it upon myself to design a REAL website-something new and something that actually looks somewhat good. It's not ready yet, give me another week or so. But here's a sneak peek at what I've been up to.
OLD

NEW
Just a little better, right?

The picture on the right side of the web page is actually 3 pictures that fade in and out-it looks really cool. I made this animation in Photoshop, and I'm kind of proud of myself since it's my first one and I sort of figured it out on my own. Oh, and the huge chunk of text to the left of the page is yet to be worked on...

I know it still needs a ton of work, but for me this is play-so I don't mind one bit!

Oh, and just incase anyone is wondering how I took a snapshot of these webpages... I downloaded this AWESOME PROGRAM called WebShot it's free and it takes a website and puts it all into a JPEG, GIF, PNG, or BMP file. Way Cool!!!
