Day 120-Playing with Dolls

It's no secret... Tate loves playing with baby dolls and I allow it... He's always had baby dolls around but lately I've really encouraged him to play with them. You see recently Tate's been making friends with rocks (that's right). I've found him on several occasions having conversations with them. He's made one of them his pet, he calls it Roxy. He even went so far as introducing it to 2 Grandmas and a Great Aunt. You can see why I've tried to encourage the doll thing, at least they look more real:) So the next time you come to our house, don't be surprised if Tate asks you to play dolls with him. I know that Lily and Emma didn't mind one bit.

  1. I'm very sorry about Roxy. Savannah got to make pet rocks at school when they studied the letter "R". Since then, she will randomly go outback and find a rock (recently it has been a very small pebble) and make it into a pet rock. Lucky for you, Savannah and Tate made pet rocks when he was over the other day. I told Savannah's teacher that she is constantly making pet rocks now, which her teacher responded that they make the best pets because you don't have to feed them or clean up after them. My response was that they are continually being left out and then the baby keeps putting them in his mouth. Rocks are just such great choking hazards. Needless to say, she didn't quite know how to respond to that. So, sorry that you now also have a pet rock.

  2. Oh no! Nathan is starting to do the same thing...he will stop and pick up rocks until he finds one that suits him...then into the pocket it goes. As for pets...at least a rock is sanitary and doesn't make a mess anywhere.

He will make such a good daddy some day...so much practice already!
