At school Tate recently learned that the phonogram "ed" makes three sounds...
"ed" as in graded
"d" as in loved
"t" as in wrecked
Then today he wrote the letters Edaede on a paper and told me that it was his name.
At first I couldn't understand why he was doing this. Then it occured to me that he was using the 3rd sound of "ed" to write his name.
Tate is definitely a "think outside the box" kind of kid...
That is adorable!! Kids are so funny. Thomas saw a movie where the main character said that they were "in danger" and ever since then he created a kind of a fort in the back yard and he calls it his "danger." It took me a while to realize that when he goes to play in his danger he is IN danger. So funny, I love the way their minds work!
ReplyDeleteOk I just got that. I am SLOW. That kid says and does the funniest things.
ReplyDeleteI read that people who don't know how to spell a word in more than one way do not have a very Big imagination! (This was in reference to the author not knowing how to spell very well)
