Lady's Night/Pizza Party Night

{The six oldest grandkids playing in the climbing tree at Grandma's}

Just about every year (for as far back as I can remember) the girls in my family have celebrated Lady's Night on General Conference weekend the night the boys (ages 12 and up) met for Priesthood meeting. I remember (way back in the day) when it was just my mom, Christina and me-we would typically head out to the store usually Pick n' Save. My Mom would give us each a certain amount or money (probably $5-10) and we would spend it on whatever we wanted. After that we would go get ice cream or some other treat. Ahhhhh, Those were some wonderful memories we created year after year.

Now that our family has grown (we now have 11 girls vs. 3) we still have Lady's Night, although it's sort of evolved into being called Pizza Party Night (since there are quite a few little boy grandkids who join us). We no longer go shopping or out for ice cream (that would be more headache than it's worth with so many little ones). But we still get to enjoy being together and hanging out. I sure do LOVE traditions!

  1. I have heard some of the guys' traditions is to go and get ice cream after the priesthood session. That sounds like a good tradition too!
