Tate's Traumatic Experience
Bryan's Mom bought Tate a ton of new clothes! They are almost all VERY CUTE, although I had my doubts about the outfit featured above. Well, yesterday all the laundry was dirty and these clothes were clean, so I had Tate wear them to Preschool. BIG MISTAKE! I was really good about not mentioning to Tate that I didn't really care for the clothes he was wearing. Anyways, after preschool on the ride home Tate said "I'm never wearing these pants from Grandma Stradling ever again!" He sadly said, "The boys at preschool didn't like my pants-they kept saying NA-NA-NANA-NA WE DON'T LIKE YOUR PANTS!"
When we came home, he literally cried for 1/2 hr. straight. Neither Bryan or I could console him! I felt so bad for him! Seriously when did 3 year olds start caring so much about who's wearing what?

That is the saddest thing I ever heard! I have had no problems in my preschool with kid making fun of each other and some of them have worn very questionable items. I'm so sad for him! Hopefully he'll jump up, brush it off and forget about the whole thing. Kids are amazing that way. Poor boy!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad! Kylie said that she didn't hear anyone saying anything to him about his clothes, other than he was wearing shorts. But it was nice to get to see you yesterday. And thank you in advance for letting Bryan come over tomorrow! He's going to be a life saver to Jon.
ReplyDeleteYea, I talked to them about it and that's what they told me. So, I think that Tate may have just been exaggerating the whole thing. He's totally over it now anyways Ü
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad! I never heard anyone saying anything (doesn't mean they didn't), but I think he always looks totally cute no matter what he's wearing!! Maybe we need to have a talk on using kind words in preschool!!
ReplyDeletePoor Tate! I'm sorry it was such a bad experience for him! I can't believe we didn't hear the kids teasing him. SORRY! I'm glad he came back the next week & had fun:)

Ohh, how sad! I didn't know kids got teased at such a young age. Poor guy.
