Fun Stuff

I made these HOME BLOCKS at enrichment Thursday night, and I think they turned out cute! When I got home, I asked Bryan what he thought of them... He very honestly stated that he doesn't think that they match the rest of our home decor (in other words he doesn't approve of the green). But you see... that's what I like about them. I've been trying to incorporate some green into our family room and this is just the first of it. Obviously when I picked out the paper I had no idea that he didn't like green:)

We've been married 8 1/2 years and would you believe that I've NEVER owned a key rack. Here's my attempt at making one. I kind of went to town with the blue ink-oops. Notice the green buttons?

  6. I just found you over at Poppies at Play. I loooove these projects. I wish our ward would do enrichment projects like these. All we do is food storage and emergency preparedness. Important, but definitely not as fun!

I think I might just have to copy both of these ideas. Thanks for sharing!! (And btw, I love the green.)

  9. I love the HOME letters! How did you do the light blue edges? I really want to make some but I can't figure out that part... do you have to sand the paper or did you just paint over it? So awesome!

  10. Amy,
I first sanded the edges of the paper to give it a distressed sort of look, and then dabbed on some blue ink that I found at a scrapbook store. They sell the little ink containers in all different colors and are pretty inexpensive. Hope that answers your question...
