I finally downloaded some Christmas Pictures from the camera to the computer today! Sadly, there are not too many. I don't know what it is about major holidays, but I tend to either leave the camera at home, forget to take very many pictures, or have Bryan take the majority of them so that I can live in the moment instead of seeing it from behind the camera. Selfish-I know!
Tate woke us up about 7:30 Christmas morning, he was totally excited and couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought for him. (I love that Tate was so into Christmas this year)! He would have been more than happy if the only gift he had received was the Chocolate Orange that was sitting at the top of his stocking. We were really tight this year for Christmas, but we got all that we wanted and needed! Tate got a shotgun with foam bullets and some targets that stick to our arcadia door from Santa, a mini camera from Mom, and a backpack full of arts and craft supplies from Dad. I think that 3 gifts was just about right for him... Bryan got a bag of coal and an entire freezer packed full of steak and hamburger meat from Santa. Tate gave him a homemade ornament, and I gave him the game Blockus. Santa brought me some household items that we were running low on-shampoo, soap, contact solution, and windex. Bryan surprised me and bought me a pink Blackberry curve! I had no idea he was doing this. (He says that with rebates it was close to free, so that's good).
We got through opening our gifts and playing with them probably before 9 AM. So, we then headed over to Bryan's parent's house for breakfast. Bryan's little sister Andrea is on her mission in Washington, and she called and talked to the family about 10 AM. It was great to talk with her, she seems to be enjoying her mission a lot. Then we opened some presents over there. We got some great gifts from everyone!
We went to my parent's house for lunch about Noon. We did our gift exchanges and as always received way too many gifts. My dad made us this AWESOME wooden sign for our wall with our last name on it. I love it so much!
So, basically our Christmas was AWESOME and I'm so grateful for family who make it special.
