Day 28-Freezer Cookies

One of the TRADEMARKS of our family is that we ALWAYS have Chocolate Chip Cookies in our Freezer. Everyone who comes to our house knows that it is their RIGHT to be able to ask us for a frozen COOKIE. For one of the first times in 5 years or so I have been out of cookies for the past month. Can you believe it? Well, I have good news... I made 56 fresh cookies today, and I will be placing them in the freezer very shortly!

  2. I'm not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing that I did not know this while you lived in the ward! Love you and miss you Maria!

  3. Oh, question, what do you freeze them in and how long do they keep fresh? I might just have to try this. Although, I can just see myself being THE ONLY ONE getting in to the freezer for one all the time!

  4. I love this idea. You really need to explain how you freeze them etc.

I love to bake but so often they get tossed in the trash since no once eats them all.

  5. I just pile them into Ziploc Freezer Bags and they stay very fresh for at least 30 days (I'm sure they would last for much longer than that but usually they get eaten by then). For the 5 years or so that I've been doing this, I've NEVER had to deal with freezer burn or them going bad.

  6. I love this idea!! I always want to make cookies, but I don't because I think I'll eat all of them. I guess I could just feeze them instead! Do you always make the same recipe? How to you thaw them? I want your recipe! :)

  7. For the most part, I use the same chocolate chip cookie recipe all the time. Sometimes I vary the kind of chocolate chips, but they are basically the same. We usually don't thaw them when we go to eat them... They taste SOOOOOO good frozen!
